Searching Instructions

» The database may contain different spelling variations for a word. (For example: British Columbia is also known as BC, or B.C.)

» If you have identified a property you wish to claim and believe you can provide proof of ownership, please fill in the requested information on the Claim Form and email, mail or fax it to our office. This information will be used to make a preliminary determination of entitlement.

» Include any additional information that could be useful. Missing or incorrect information may result in our being unable to contact you or process your request. Before submitting the claim form, please review the information you entered to ensure it is accurate.

» When we receive your completed form, we will review it carefully and compare it with information on file. We will contact you if we need additional information. Once we receive all required documentation and confirm ownership, we will release the property. We generally process and pay claims within 30 days. Some claims involving complex issues, such as intestate estates may take longer.
